There is a basic stock control function in Thesaurus Accounts which works as follows:

1. Setup: Firstly, products must be set up in Add/Amend Products in the Sales menu.
2. Sales- Movements Out of Stock: When you use the Product Invoices (New Type) for sales to customers, the system keeps a record of the number of products sold.
3. Purchases and Other Movements of Stock: In the Tools menu, you will find Enter Product Movements.
   • For example, Joe Bloggs supplied you with 1,000 widgets and 300 gadgets on 1st July 2022.
   • Enter 01.07.2022 as the Date.
   • Enter Joe Bloggs (with possibly an invoice number) as the reference.
   • Enter the quantity of each item beside the relevant product names
4. Reporting: In the Reports menu, you will find Product/Stock Reports. If any product movements have been entered in Enter Product Movements then a check box will appear Show Stock Movements Only. This will enable you to view movements in and out of any or all stock items within any date range.
   If the check box is not ticked, the report will give analyses of sales by product.
